Consulate Review: Korea
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 4, 2022
Embassy Review : Consulate opens at 7:30 am. We only brought our paperwork and one phone (which was stored upon entry). The whole process took about 2-2.5 hours, but I think that depends on the amount of paperwork you provide them. Both the petitioner and the applicant were able to answer questions during the interview. The interviewer was kind and straightforward as well as patient. If the officers need any additional information, they would call you up to the booth again before the interview. The interview itself was only about 5 minutes long. The process went:
1. Submit documents
2. Interview

I think it's important to upload as many supplementary documents as possible to NVC to strengthen your case. We brought a lot of paperwork that ultimately wasn't submitted because it was already uploaded online.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
