Comments : Arrived around 9:00 am at port Huron - sarnia crossing. Completely hassle-free. All officers were very friendly and I spent less than 10 mins in the customs office while my visa was activated. My husband was behind me pulling a trailer with my belongings, they sent him right through and did not search my car either.

POE Review: CDN-USA Border
Event Description
Entry Date : 2022-11-14
Embassy Review : Arrived around 9:00 am. I had my car packed with my belongings and my husband was behind me with a truck and trailer. I pulled up and informed the officer I would be immigrating - he congratulated me and sent me into the customs office. I also told him my husband was behind me and he said that he would just be sending him through and offered to have him meet me at the nearest rest stop.

The officers inside the customs office were very chummy with me - the only question I was really asked was how long the immigration process took us. I had my photo taken and passport stamped. All in all I was inside the office for less than 10 minutes while my visa was activated. Really wasn’t sure what to expect, especially as my last experience being refused at the same crossing was so awful. But it was extremely quick and pleasant. My husband and I attributed it to being a chilly Monday morning.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
