Embassy Review : |
Our flight landed when 3 or 4 other international flights also arrived so it was quiet busy in the immigration hall. Dallas immigration hall is very easy. First thing on the left is Global entry, then it's US nationals and then foreign nationals. The usher looked at my fiances envelope and asked her to go ro foreign national side and even though I wanted to join my fiance I was told to go back to US national side. I think its because now US national side at DFW uses facial recognition. For me it literally took 30 seconds. No boarding card no passport.. just stand in front of the camera and welcome back home. For my fiance again even though a long line but it was extremely quick moving. Once she got there the officer saw her envelope and asked her to follow him to the secondary room. She said there were a few people there bit again almost negligible wait time. He opened her envelope, entered some stuff in the computer stamped her passport and put K1 and a date coinciding with 90 days from arrival. Didn't say a word gave her a thumbs up and showed her the door. She was confused as we were expecting some questions but nothing at all. She and I almost walked out of the hallway together. It was far harder to get on the flight with all the covid protocols in place then the POE. |

Rayk on 2021-11-15 said: Thank you so much! Just to be clear, you scheduled K-1 interview based on "Ready" case status on CEAC and without Packet 3 letter from US embassy which usually comes in mail?
Let me know how the interview goes tomorrow and good luck to you guys!
Once it showed ready on CEAC
Then we did DS160
Then US Travel Docs / visa fee / interview and medical scheduled were almost done at the same time
Interview confirmation email from the embassy and medical confirmation email were the only items we got, there was no packet 3.

Do u mind sharing what she answered for "Why did you decided to go to US to get married instead of Pakistan?"?
How did you get an interview date so fast after your case left NVC?
My case stayed at the NVC for about a month and a half, usually with certain embassies they do electronic transfer of cases (which was in my case) so it went from AT NVC, to IN TRANSIT to READY almost over night, I got the K1 FTP email the same day as well with the embassy case number.
I knew we had to get the interview appointment from us travel docs, I did it the same day, it asked to pay the Visa fee, once the visa fee was paid I was able to secure an interview date online which I chose 2 weeks out due to medical.
Islamabad embassy is working at full capacity and it is the second largest embassy of US in the world. So I guess that played a part. They have 20 plus consular windows during interviews. And with no covid situation in Pakistan.
Every embassy works differently with different requirements so you will have to do a lot of due diligence on yours, from documents to interview
Also I noticed your case is IR1/CR1 in those cases an actual physical file is sent to Islamabad, and then ofcourse IR1 and CR1 case load is way higher than k1 visa
Maaz she said because that was the best option for her under the circumstances and at that time it seemed like a faster option. It's a very hard question to answer and there's no right or wrong answer in that
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
