Embassy Review : |
Well my interview appointment was for 09:00 on Monday morning. I got a train down the night before and stayed in a TraveLodge in Marylebone which was a 10 minute cab ride away from the Embassy.
I woke up at 07:00 and left by 07:50. I got a cab from outside Marylebone station and arrived at the Embassy at around 08:00. I joined the line and got in and got my number at 08:28. i659 was my number. I was first called at about 09:00 to window 13 and he took my fingerprints and gave me my chest X-Ray back, and I provided my birth certificate, Police certificate, financial support and while he looked at that I paid the fee in the next window. I then went back to the guy and he had an inch thick pink file! I made a joke about the pink file and after a short while he said to go back and wait to be called again.
I was called back at about 09:45 and went to window 15. It was an American lady and she was very nice. She took my fingerprints, made me sign a document and then asked me some questions. The first being how we met. She very pleasant and took interest in my story. Then she asked me if I needed my passport in the next 5 days and said that they were going to keep it as I had been approved. I thanked her and then went to the courier line. That was the worst part as I just wanted to tell everyone but had to stay in line and keep quiet. I got out by 10:25 and hailed a cab. Was back in the hotel room by about 10:35.
I got online and called Deanna on Skype who was half asleep but soon woke up. Ha.
So all in all it was a pleasant experience but I am glad that it is over with.
Hope this review helps anyone who is waiting for their interview and good luck if you are. It's not as bad as you think.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
