Sad update guys:
Approaching week 4 and still didn't receive a letter or email to schedule the interview date. I just went to the US Consulate General Amsterdam website and tried to schedule an appointment without having received the letter just to see if there are dates available on the calender. I have been checking for a whole week now and all it keeps saying is "There are no available appointments at this time. Please check back in a few days as the Consular Section will open more appointments" Great :| I also saw a google review on the consulate and someone commented 2 weeks ago that there were still no dates available. On top of that i already scheduled my medical appointment so i hope the interview date is not a big factor for the doctor. Thank you summer season :'( It seems like everyone is on vacation that's why this is taking so long. Prayers up ðŸ™

Really sorry to hear it. My mom's friend works at the embassy and he let me know that the 2 consular officers that do the k-1 visa are currently on vacation, and there's only 1 other consular officer that is doing k1 interviews. Unfortunately he can't really do much for us, other than inform us. They should get up to speed soon though! Hoping for the best, Poochy!

You just have to keep sending emails to the embassy that you are in need of an interview date...
That was what we did...we told the embassy that our i-129F petition was about expiring and we need an appointment date. We were given date within a week..
You don't need to keep checking the website for date....it's them who is going to schedule you with a date from their system..
Once they schedule you with a Date...you would get an automatic email notifying you to take action by paying the visa fees and confirming the date given to you

That's what i suspected @Brainilio :( Maybe that's the case at the NVC too cause i noticed a lot of us got our letter from the NVC about 3 weeks after NOA-2 but i see for you it's over a month :( It's always around the holiday seasons that cases are being delayed sadly. @Fk254 Mines about to expire in August. I didn't think of sending an email. Thanks for the tip. Can you please send me the exact emailadres from the embassy you used to get them to schedule your date ?

The email is directly to the Immigrant visa unit which is responsible for the K1 visa.
The email is AmsterdamIV@state.gov

Question,. did you guys wait for P4 to come back or did you just refresh the scheduling page to check for a slot? Also, when is your medical? :)
Poochy1629 on 2022-07-13 said:
Thanks Brainilio! So, we first called the consulate and they told us to go to the website and schedule the interview so we kept refreshing the page but still no dates available... but it was only after we sent an email to expedite our case because our i-129F was going to expire in August, they opened up slots and we were able to schedule an appointment. I don't know if it is because of the email but i'm a little worried because we did not receive P4 and if i am not mistaken we need to bring P4 (which is supposed to be the interview date) to the interview.. So i am hoping that we receive P4 within the next few weeks.. It's just so frustrating because on the phone they say one thing and in the letters they mention another... pff but yes my medical is tomorrow so few weeks before the interview which is good.. but that P4 thing is freaking me out a little bit.

I'm sure you'll be fine! Congrats on getting the medical scheduled before the interview date. That's a huge win.

Hey @Poochy! I’m Brai’s fiancé :)
I was wondering if you have your visa on hand yet since you had your interview on august 2 since your medical was before your interview?
Wondering cuz our medical is on Aug 30 & interview on Sept 6. We’ve got our wedding planned for Oct 8, so really really praying we get our visa on hand for the wedding. Let me know any updates thank you!!

Hi all, I'm sorry for updating so late. The interview went well in terms of the questions just very straightforward but i had some issues with some papers so i need to send in documents from my home country which will take another 2-3 weeks to get here. I was just really pissed when i left the consulate super sad about another delay😢. But nevertheless just gotta push through.....
@Brii and Gabbie what a coincidence. We were planning ours for the 8th of October too but we don't know yet if we'll have our visa before then so.. We wish you two good luck :) I had my medicals 2 weeks before the interview and they had received it before then. They should have yours before the interview as well.

It's all good, I'm super sorry to hear about your delayed case. I assume that with your home country you mean Suriname? (I'm half Surinamese lol) I'm aware that it takes long with sending documents back and forth. If I knew about it sooner I could have had my aunt bring it with her cause she just came back from there. I hope everything gets resolved soon. I'm glad that your interview went well though.
Poochy1629 on 2022-08-22 said:
What in the world ? what are the odds hahaa. I would've never thought someone could relate to me lol. I didn't mention Suriname cause i know alot of people on here don't know where it is lol i get that alot. YES OMG it takes forever 😠My mom is getting it done for me though. She's waiting for the document (police certificate) to get legalised and then i'll see if i can find someone to get it here earlier and if not she'll have to send it with the courier.... So nice to know that you're half Surinamese.

I'm so sorry Poochy, hope everything goes super fast and smoothly once your documents are here.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
