How did you get this approved so quickly? My husband is in the UK (Manchester) so I hope this is a good sign!

We applied for exceptional circumstances under short notice of job relocation, so were able to file directly with the consular. There are many criteria for exceptional circumstances so definitely check if you're eligible!

How long did it take between having the exceptional circumstances confirmed to being able to have an appointment to file the paperwork?

If I'm remembering correctly it was pretty instant, like we applied on the Mon (or over the weekend) and had a response on Tues for the file appointment on Fri. But by chance my husband already had another appointment at the embassy to renew his passport for Fri, so I don't know if that helped bump us up the list

Sorry I completely misremembered! I spoke with my husband, we applied as soon as he got the job offer in May, so about a month before we heard anything - hope thay helps!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
