Embassy Review : Process for IR5 visa was smooth, all documents were requested at rhe door and the whole process from entrance to exit was done in around 30-40 min. The consul was very friendly and respectful. Visa was approved and in 4 days the passport was ready for pick up at the Puerto Cortes office.

Hi, congrats on getting an interview scheduled already! 😊 Question, did you submit an expedite request to the NVC? Or was your case normal processing time?
Victoriapd on 2021-10-13 said:
Thank you!!! It was normal processing, I sent a regular email to NVC and one to the embassy like 3 months ago inquiring about the interview date and they just told me to wait. Interview letter came Friday 10/08

Ah okay! ☺️ That’s great news! You were Documentarily Qualified on April 16 and I was DQd on May 6 so fingers crossed I get an interview letter soon as well! 🤞🏼 Good luck on your interview! ☺️

Thanks! It’s definitely been a pretty long process. Yes, in Honduras.

That’s awesome! Was your mom able to get an medical exam scheduled and results before the interview? There’s such a huge back up with that!
Victoriapd on 2021-11-01 said:
Yes, she got them done in SPS. She had to get there at 5am to get in line as they only have a limited qty of spots per day. She got the lab test and xray done on that day (oct 13th) and they gave her an appointment for Oct 29th fir the vaccination. They uploaded results into the computer and at the time of the interview the embassy had the results.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
