The people at the consulate were very nice.
At window 1 I gave all the documents: passport style photos; Birth certificate; Police report; I-134 + Tax returns; Copy passport petitioner.
They took my electronic fingerprints, asked me if I've been abroad the last 10 days and if I live in the Netherlands. They already received my medical and everything was fine.
After a 35 min wait they called me to window 4. The lady taking my interview was very nice. She looked at my papers and my vaccinations, all was good. She asked me the following questions, while typing my answers into her computer:
How did you meet?
When did you started dating?
When was the last time you've seen each other?
When, where and how long was your last visit?
Did you see each other a second time?
How long was that visit and where?
What does your fiance do for a living?
What will you be doing when you get there, study or work?
Do you have any wedding plans?
She told me everything looked good, they will keep my passport and it will be sent to me with the visa within 2-3 weeks.
It was a very pleasant experience for sure😊 |

You got case number by call nvc? If yes when did you call? Thank you
Hi Lena, yes, we called them Nov 24
Very happy for you! Congratulations! And thanks for being so detailed in your notes about how the interview went! 🙂
Thank you and you're welcome 😊 I really hope you'll get your new date soon
I’m so excited for you guys!!! Congratulations!
<3 Happy Valentine’s Day! You made it.
Wow that was fast! How was it filling out the application for Adjustment of Status? My husband and I are about to start for him!
Lol, yeah, I had the time. It's alot of paperwork...again. had to do some do-overs of course, but got it done.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
