Hello... Im wondering if you had to wait on a response from the embassy before you set up your visa appointment or did you just got by the status reading ready.

Yes, he got his interview date. As soon as his account said ready on ceac, we paid the fee and started searching; however, the embassy will notify you when they open slots. They embassy really cut down on the number of interviews. Before covid, you would have many people with the same appointment time as you. When my fiancé went last week, it was maybe 6-8 people with the same appointment time. This was not an expedited case, it was normal processing. Our case reached the NVC that Friday after the borders closed. The first 6 months after filing was covid and the borders were closed but as soon as they reopened in September, I resumed my visits to every 6 months.

Ohhh okay. Hello ankomah. We just got the ready notification on the CEAC so he is gonna get ready to go pay the visa fee within this week and we can go ahead and book the appointment. I wanted us to get an appointment in January so I can atleast be there to go with him and come back with him to America. Also did you get the approval from the interview and how long did it take for you to get the approval after the interview. Also please what is the packet 3and 4 they send?

Thank you

Are you fiancé or spouse? The embassy doesn’t give you that long. Once they open up the calendar for k1, it’s for that month only. They give you no time to “prepare.” The lawyer completed his package so I don’t know what packet 3 and 4 is. My fiancé case went into Administrative Processing until his DNA results come in.

My case is K1 fiancée. And for the calendar I’m soo sorry big what did you mean they don’t give you time to prepare. We tried to sign up for an appointment but the only time that was available was November 3rd which obviously it’s impossible for us to do it because we don’t even have the Medicals and all that., also which question, when did you know you had to go for the medicals. Did they call you to go there or like how was that .
blank avatar Ankomah on 2021-11-02 said:
You MAY have 2 or 3 weeks at the most for your interview. You won’t be able to set an appointment months in advance. The embassy will send you an email once you schedule your appointment. The medical is walk-in but you want to give at least 5 days before your interview. My fiancé’s interview was real short. He said they asked him how many times we met, when was the first time I came to Ghana, how did we meet, where I worked. And asked him if my ex husband was a US citizen.

Ohhh okay I get it. I’m sorry ankomah for all these questions but please question but please what is the packet 3 and 4 and when did you get it. Did you get after your CEAC said ready or when. And also how did you fiancée get that packet. Through post office or it was handed to him
blank avatar Mrstagoe85 on 2021-11-03 said:
Packet 3 and 4 are emailed from my understanding. I was told the only thing in them are listed of items to bring and where to get medicals done
Cobby And Audrey on 2021-11-03 said:
Ohhhh ok thank you Mrs Tagoe. I hope they won’t. I’m still waiting for the email though. I hope they do that because Ghanas mailing thing sucks.. did you get an interview date yet ?

We've paid our fee just waiting on a date to open up. I've researched and I'm just gonna grab a date whenever there's one available. We're all set on the police clearance and ready for the medical. As soon as I can catch an appointment he'll do the medical.
Cobby And Audrey on 2021-11-03 said:
Ohhh ok then I guess you are on top.. I’m also still waiting to get an interview date .. Did you get the packet yet or you also got that in the email.. what’s update saying right now on the CEAC WEBSITE

I haven't received anything. No email. My status on the ceac is reading READY. I Google us visa in Ghana and came to the Ghana embassy website with the accepted places for the medical which is only two places. They told my fiance 1700 cedis and he can walk in.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
