Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 6, 2008
Embassy Review : My Visa has been approved It was easy and smooth process here are the details.

1. Arrived on New Delhi Embassy @ 6:00 Am
2. embassy opened @ 7:30
3. everybody lined up for security check and I entered in Embassy @ 8:00 am
4. Collected Appointement letter from me @ 8:15 am
5. Fingerprinting for all fingers on window 16 @ 8:45 am
6. Announced my name to come on window 17, collected passport and asked me for w2 and given me my originals back @ 9:15
7. Announced my name again to come on window 15, given me oath and i said yes. first question What is you name?
Q Who is the petitioner?
Q How did you meet?
A We met online.
Q How online?
A On yahoo chat
Q How on yahoo chat?
A on chatrooms
Q which chatroom?
A ....
Q when did you meet online?
Q when you decided to marry?
Q when you got married?
Q where does she lives?
Q how many persons attended your wedding?
Q how many came from US?
Q where are her siblings?
Q when she immigrated in US?

and he said your visa is approved.

then I dared to ask a question, but my suggestion is dont ask questions unneccesarily.
i asked him "do i need to apply for SSN?" he said "NO" and he said kindly goto enquiry window if you have any questions.
then i went to Enquiry window and asked the same question, she said "no" either and she said if you have ticked the DS-230's 33a question. then you dont need to apply it seperatly.

Good luck

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
