Event Description
Review Date : March 28, 2022
Embassy Review : Interview for immigration
* Security check
* Give the officer at the counter by the entry the interview notice letter
* Wait for them to call our name into the office
* The officer went through the agenda
* He asked us to take an oath
* At first he couldn’t find my I-130 information and thought we didn’t file it. He asked my husband if he filed it. My husband was so nervous, got panicked and said no lol but we actually did (probably because we moved from the consulate process and the files were scattered)
* He talked to me mostly, asking me to verify my name, dob, current address, previous addresses, parents’ names, country of birth, basically information on i-485, including the yes/no questions.
* He also asked me about how my husband and I met and where we had the marriage ceremony.
* He only asked my (US citizen) husband about his job and they talked about the time when they were in marine corps
* The officer was trying so hard to put on poker face the whole time but we joked around a little bit.
* After that he allowed me to give him any additional documents I brought with me. I gave him my medical exam and some bona fide.
* At the end, he gave us a chance to ask any questions and that was just it… he led us out…
Harassment Level : Good

How were you notified about your DQ by NVC. Did you get an email first? or was the status first updated in CEAC, and then you got an email a few days later?
Mimipimpaporn on 2021-06-26 said:
I don’t know which came first. But I saw an email first and when I check the status it was already updated to “at NVC”

Alright, thanks. Did the DQ email come inline with the dates on the NVC Timeframes page?(https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html). For example: - I submitted on 24-MAY-2021, and right now the NVC Timeframes page says, "We are reviewing documents submitted to us on 24-MAY-2021. - However, I have not received an email yet. Hopefully we'll get lucky in the next few days.

Yes! The timeframe they update every monday is accurate for both times I got my case reviewed. I kept track and observed the timeframe every week and realized that each week they manage to review ranging from 6-9 days of submission, with the average of 7 days. I use this to calculate and predict my approval and it was very accurate. Hope you got yours soon! Good luck.

Thanks! Good luck with the rest of your visa as well!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
