Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 10, 2018
Embassy Review : Appointment at 7:30. Arrived at 6:50. There was one line outside the embassy for visa applicants. Thai lady checked appointment list, and then my fiancee went inside.

She got number 4. She watched the first three go through. The first applicant talked "no good" and left very angry and all her paperwork. The next two were apparently approved judging by the big smile.

Then it was her turn. Before she was called to the CO, she saw him flipping through her paperwork.
Questions:
1. How did you meet your finance?
2. What was your fiancee doing there ( in the town we met)
3. Where your finance live?
4. What he do for a living
5. How many time he come to visit you?
6. How long ago did you meet?

He then concluded the interview saying for her to wait for one week to get her VIsa. She was not sure that it meant Visa approved;p

They kept her passport, all of Packet 3, and her original Single Certificate.

Rating : Good

How in the world did you get through NVC so fast? Also, I am going to see my wife next month (November) and taking her to Bangkok for her Police record check. I see in the requirements for that to use the cover letter for something I will not have for the Police check request. What did you use for justification of police record check requirement? Thank you very much in advance!!! Any other tips would be much appreciated! And congratulations on your approval!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
