Came in on a K1. Waited for an hour until my name was called. Immigration Officer only asked me two questions:
1. Do you have any questions for me?
2. You know what you need to do?
Everything was so fast and easy minus the waiting time. Everybody was very friendly! |

Timeline Comments: 5Congratulations for the work permit approved. Can I ask how long it took them to approve your case after submitting evidence?
Qui on 2023-01-02 said: @Sara Tony - I requested expedite on 11/01 and got the e-mail for additional evidence for the expedite on 12/14. I submitted via fax multiple times on 12/16, 12/23, and 12/30. I finally got approved on 12/30 so I’m not sure which one actually triggered the approval.
Thanks and wish you best luck.
Good description on the port of entry, good to know. Seems to be handled diffrent at different airports though
Qui on 2023-01-12 said: Thanks! I want to be as helpful as possible to future K1 applicants who’ll have similar POE as mine.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
