Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : May 5, 2021
Embassy Review : Just to update, my interview was yesterday (4 May 2021) at 10.30. I arrived at 9.50 (I'm just always early and they let me through). Proceeded through security etc and was given my ticket number and sent to the first floor to the waiting room. Was called for documents and handed over everything - they checked my medical was on the system (taken on 23/04) and that the affidavit of support was there - they told me they didn't need the physical copy with the wet signature or my hubby's tax transcripts as they were on there (though, I would still recommend taking them just in case - they're still part of the required documents). Sent back to sit down and wait for interview part. They also took fingerprints at that window.

Called up to another window and swore the oath and did the interview. The lady said everything seemed fine and they would issue it and that it could take a couple of weeks for my passport to be returned with the visa in. I got a bit excited and then babbled on about how my hubby was in New Orleans for work and it was ridiculous o'clock time in the morning and how I couldn't wait to call him and wake him up and I'm sure the lady thought I was bonkers as I was clearly so excited!! 🤣🤦‍♀️ But, it was a really smooth process in my experience and I'm so thankful we're finally able to make plans to be together!

My status was AP first thing this morning and then changed to issued a couple of hours later - got the email from DX this afternoon that my passport will be available for collection tomorrow - I can't believe it's so quick!

We're super happy, and have cried lots of happy tears of relief and pure happiness over the past 24 hours!

Thank you to everyone in this forum for your help, support and general radness! 🥰 You're awesome!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
