Consulate Review: Caracas, Venezuela
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 5, 2008
Embassy Review : The interview was not difficult. We arrived at embassy early for our 8am interview, we were directed to the immigrant visa area, took a number, and waited about 20 minutes. We then turned in the visa forms, antecendentes penales, legalized birth certifcate and our I-134 make sure that you have a copy of the I-134 sponsers passport and/or us birth certifate to prove us citizenship. The lady looked over all the forms, and then directed us to the cashier to pay the $131 fee. Then we returned and waited for a consular officer to call us. Within 5 minutes we were called up. They asked us where and how we met, and why we hadn't gotten married in Venzuela. Then they told me (the us citizen) to sit down. Then they asked Brigmer what my brother's name was, what my brother did for a living, where I worked, where I studied, and what my parents names where and their professions. Then they called me back up and approved the visa!! The process was painless and pleasant
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
