First of all, you need to be sure that you have all necessary documents.
I came to Consulate 20 minutes before appointment. Wait till employee come to me and ask my appointment time. After that he checked my passport.
Next step - go to security. They let me go to gate like in airport. Need to take off coat, put all your documents in line to be checked in scanners, like in airport.
After that, I went to downstairs to Consulate .
Near the door need show passport and the page confirming your delivery of passport. Employee then gave me my number in line.
In 1st room, I gave all of my original documents and in this window another employee ask me to take my fingerprints. At window, questions were about my work in Ukraine, my full name, date of our marriage, how many children I have under 21 years old.
Then move to second room and wait for my number in line to be called. I waited about 40 minutes. Consul lady, was very nice.
She started speaking with me in English. Ask again my full name, asked if I was in USA before or not. Then questions about my husband. When we 1st met, how long before wedding we met and how much we had total meetings up to this point. Asked about my husband's job. Questions about how old is his oldest children. After she asked for proof of our relationship. I give her pictures, copy of our electronic letters and print correspondence from viber. It was enough. She didn't ask give a copy, I asked her why. She explained, that they already made all scans of my documents.
After that the nice lady said the magic words : Your Visa is Approved!
I said, THANK YOU! Have a nice day!
My husband already payed for Visa and I didn't need to pay more.
All was very good. You just need be honest, make all paper work and have documentation of your relationship.
Good luck for all! We are very happy now and I'm very proud of my husband. 😘😘😘 |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
