Hi, where's your file now?? I guess Mumbai embassy?
blank avatar Neetneet on 2020-12-04 said:
Yeah, I think so. It was first sent incorrectly to New Delhi, but seems to have then been transferred to Mumbai. Only confirmation I've got is through email from the embassy. We have not received any further instructions from the Mumbai embassy though.

What's your case status on CEAC website ? Looks like your are new in this VJ group. Let me know if you want to join any Mumbai k1 visa group..there's one telegram group

CEAC has been saying ready since like July (more details here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/753033-k-1-stuck-in-noa2-in-mumbai-help/). Would be glad to join a group - please send a link!

https://t.me/joinchat/J4Pxp1Q3dvmVv4l8kuo1RA I am not in this group.. but I have friends who follow this group.. Do you know when your file got shipped??ours is ready since April. But your NOA2 date and ours are same.

No i don’t think I know that date. How would I check that?

Thanks also for the link!

Same on CEAC website.. but once it reached embassy date will change ..like you said its showing "since july" ; my doubt is after March 31 no files were shipped from.NVC as embassy got shutdown..so I asked when your file got shipped

CEAC has said “Ready” since approximately July. That was the first time I remember seeing that, but don’t remember an exact date. The “date last updated” has kept changing and it now shows Nov 25. I believe that might be tied to my email queries I send to support-india@ustraveldocs but I don’t have any proof of that connection. I do know the Mumbai consulate has my application - I explicitly asked them over email (as there was some confusion that my case was initially sent to New Delhi). The Mumbai consulate confirmed over email that they do have my application. Now, whether that’s the digital file or the physical file, I don’t know. My fiancé hasn’t received any materials from the embassy though.
Siggy on 2020-12-04 said:
There is no connection between email you send and the date change.. Date changes only if they open to do something with it. If it shows 25th ( like other friends) they are working on your file.. will hear something from them soon.. good luck 😀

Ah, ok. I'm curious what they worked on all those other times they updated it then haha, but yes, good luck to you too!

@siggy - any word from the embassy on your side? I’ve seen a lot of people commenting that they’re going ahead and booking appointments without receiving any formal communication from the embassy/consulate. I still haven’t received word and am hesitant to go ahead and book and have to attend an interview without ever receiving something from the embassy.
Siggy on 2020-12-10 said:
Please book an appointment if your Case is ready at embassy, I have been following people who were not affected by covid , they nevr received letter from embassy but just to complete th formality you can request them an email post or pre appointment booking
blank avatar Neetneet on 2020-12-10 said:
Gotcha, thanks. I’ve been trying to request the email but they just keep telling me to wait. If I go ahead and book an appointment, and then request the letter, won’t they just say please move your appointment? Also when we go for the interview, won’t they ask for a letter?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
