Important things to do during the interview:
Don't bring any eletronic gadgets (cellphone, mp3 player even digital watches) or deadly weapons
Fill-up all your documents and sign it (Paste your picture on the DS-156 form)
If you come early you have the possibility to finish early
Interview is very simple, so dont be nervous
You'll be given a number but they are calling numbers at ramdom so be patient if the number next to you have been called and your not
Bring some crackers and water because theres no food inside

Embassy Review : |
My AOS interview was on August 6, 2007 at 1:45pm at USCIS Las Vegas Local Office. We arrive at 1:30pm, we parked on the street because the building has a limited parking space and no available space for us. We enter the building and submit to xray inspection,i gave my appointment letter, my passport and my husband's driver's license to the guard. After checking he returned my passport and my husband's driver's license and told us to have a seat and the Immigration Officer will call us in a moment. There are few couples already waiting on the waiting area. After 15 minutes a female Immigration Officer called my name, so we stand up and followed her. She let us swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth before starting. She was very nice, she asked for my passport and my husband's drivers license, our birth certificates(originals). Then she check it on her folder and returned the documents to us but she took out the I-94.Then asked for documents that we have our names together and pictures, i gave her our Health insurance, my husbands 401K and our Philippine Bank Statement and our pictures. Then she started to ask questions. Her questions were:
For both of us:
How did you met?
Do you have previous marriages?
Do you have children?
For my husband:
What do you do?
How many times did you visit the Philippines?
For me:
What do you do before back in your country?
Do you have to work here?
and other questions pertaining to the AOS form
And then after that, she said " Ok, i am considering your application and you will receive your Green Card in two weeks, Welcome to America".Thats it and we are done, we shake hands and she escorted us out of her Office.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
