Comments : Due to email correspondence between me and the consulate, they sent me all the instructions via email (did not have to send the appointment request to the embassy first). This is the reason why I was able to receive both packages 3 and 4 on the same day. This was also because of my preparation for package 3.

Questions K1 interview Oct 5th 2021
* How did you meet each other?
* What does he do for a living?
* What are my plans to do in the States?
* Did we use a marriage broker (we did not btw lol)?
* Was I ever convicted?
* Did I ever overstay a visa?
* Where does your fiancé live?
* What is the address the greencard will be send to?
* If I ever been to the States on a J1?
* What are your plans for the wedding?

They also asked me for a copy of fiancé's passport, which wasn’t stated in the checklist. I did bring it as a back up.

My medical was on the 30th of Sep, so my visa was 99% approved. I called the medical place and the told me everything was ok, so that means I can expect my visa within the next three weeks. The plan is to travel to the USA on the 5th of Nov 2021.

Hello! I noticed in November that you were commenting on other topics about how you hadn't received your NOA1. Am I right in assuming that you received it over a month after you submitted it, however, the NOA1 receipt date was only a few days after USCIS had actually received your application? I'm currently waiting on NOA1 and it's been over two months since we submitted it. Thanks!!

Hey BreeMB! We called with USCIS and checked on the processing case site which date we have to follow. Their processing time starts from the receipt date and not the NOA1: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/more-info . That's also why I changed it, to get a more accurate timeline. I've heard they have major delays and you are definitely not the only one I heard of that is still waiting for their receipt. Hold on and keep faith! Waiting is awful, I feel you!

Hi! I'm wondering how long did you have to wait until you case status online changed to AP or Issued. It's been 4 working days since my interview and my status still shows "Ready" with a date on 1 Feb (my interview date). I'm getting anxious with the wait now as I noticed that most people get their visas on hand within a few days only. Would really appreciate your response.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
