Hey! Are you having your passport couriered to your home address. My wife is in Nova Scotia and will have to quarantine after she gets back to Nova Scotia from her interview. Just wondering if anyone else had to quarantine in a hotel or anything and was able to receive their packet there.

Hi there! I am having my passport couriered to my home address. My interview was last Friday and I got an email today saying the purolator label has been created. I did read on the site that if you are not home to receive your package then purolator will drop it at the nearest purolator drop center (for me it’s an office product store) and you can pick up there with ID. My understanding is that once you submit the courier form you can’t change the address, I could be wrong but that is my understanding. Side question, is Nova Scotia requiring hotel quarantine after travel with if Canada?!?!? If so, wow, I’m sorry.

You have to quarantine for 2 weeks if you travel out side of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or PEI. Which is crazy but there’s less than 50 active cases in the province so I guess it’s doing something. She’s staying with her brother and there nowhere in the house for her to be by herself so hotel it is. She had to do the same after visiting the US for the holidays. So was thinking her packet will arrive while she’s at the hotel.

I understand the coming in from the US, we have done that about 4 times now but coming in from another province seems excessive, especially in a hotel! Sorry she has to do that. Good luck to you both!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
