Easy and great interviewer at Newark. The place was clean and every one was nice. Took about 5 minutes. I had all my documents in order and labeled, ready to go! He looked at our wedding photos and other photos we had. He wanted to know about our relationship...how we met, when we started dating, etc. He took copies of all our joint assets (joint lease, joint utility bills, joint account, etc.) and then sent us on our way with the 551 stamp. Less then 10 mins! |

Got it in 70 something days. Not too long of a wait. However, my AOS interview is only 3 weeks away so I'm probably (hopefully)not going to even get to use it. |

Please note that Newark, NJ does same day oaths! I did not know this and would have worn better clothes if I had known. I was at the office for 6 hours which is just a warning when you go to this office. My interview was @ 1pm. I did not see an interview officers until 2:45pm. The office was not busy but they must have been behind schedule. The interview was easy for me but each situation is different. I then went down to wait for my name to be called to go over my naturalization certificate. I did not get that until 4:15pm. The oath was at 4:30 and went until after 5.
Just so you know, they do take your PR card so if you are looking to travel right away, be ware! You now need a US passport to travel. I had to do some pretty extreme things so I can go get a same day passport for Christmas travel. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
