Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: Medical Appointment
Event Description
Review Date : January 23, 2022
Embassy Review : I did my medical with Dr. Lee in Scarborough. It was efficient and the expectations they set for me were met. The X-ray and bloodwork are done in the same building so overall I was at the office about 2.5 hours from start to finish for everything. The Dr. warned me that the blood results would likely take a couple of weeks due to backlogs with Public Health but surprisingly they had the results back in only 4 business days. They called me the day they received the results to tell me I needed another booster for MMR as mine was not strong anymore - apparently they test for this. I was able to go to a walk-in clinic that same night and get the booster and sent the proof to the Dr. the next morning. They sent the medical results to the consulate in time for my interview. Even the officer doing my interview was surprised I was able to get it in on-time. Overall a very good experience.
Rating : Very Good

Hi. I was looking at your timeline for inspiration and noticed it took like 3 months from when NVC completed your file to when it left NVC to go to Consulate. Do you know why it took that long? I've seen it take a few days on average. Case Completed at NVC: 2021-09-08 NVC Left: 2021-12-09

The case isn’t sent to consulate until the consulate requests case from NVC. It sits at NVC until interview spots open up. I haven’t seen anything anywhere that only took a few days. Three months is pretty quick for Canada actually.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
