Never did get my USPS confirmation of delivery on the I-129F. DEC-4-07 - Got Email notice of approval, NOA2 sent! NVC took their time, called on JAN-10-08 and they said that it went to Tokyo on the 9th. Guessing the embassy got it on JAN-15-08, per cover letter. |

Very quick, very painless. Something we did not expect considering what we have read about Detroit, and what I myself have experienced while coming home from Japan. Immigration asked how long she had been married, even though the officer was looking over her K-1 fiancée visa. Perhaps a trick question. Officer then asked when we planned on getting married, and after her response of "in a week and a half", the officer then reminded her that she had 90 days to get married. Maybe the officer was just reading from a queue card or something. Who knows. But it was a surprisingly painless and quick process. |

MO driver's licenses are only valid up to the expiration of the K-1 visa, or the expiration of the legal permanent resident card. While adjusting status, the beneficiary cannot legally drive with their MO driver's license during the "pending" period between the expiration of the K-1 visa and the receipt of the resident card. The MO DMV does not accept the EAD for issuing a valid driver's license. See you in 21 months, USCIS. |

No complaints. It took almost 2 hours from arrival to leaving. Interview last about 30 minutes. They asked the following questions:
Is the name of the USC you intend to marry [Petitioner's Name]?
What is your fiance's occupation?
How did you and your fiance meet?
Have you met your fiance's family?
They also accepted photo-copied duplicates of the notorized I-134, letter from my bank, letter from my employer, and updated letter of intent to marry. Though, I sent the originals a few days before fiancee's interview, just in case. Said we'd have our visa within a week. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
