Hello, Quick question. We are at similar phases of the process. I want to know when the NVC sent everything to JA, did the JA embassy contact you or your Fiancé? I was curious to know what is the next step. Bc I’ve check my status online & it says “ready†since a week ago. I have yet to hear from the Embassy in JA.

Hi,
The embassy emailed me with the K1 packet telling us to apply for the visa and schedule an interview and medical exam and the packet told us everything that needed to be done and brought to the interview also.

Oh okay, ours may be arriving the slow way via mail smh.. lol thank you so much!

Also I just checked your timeline
It seems like u are able to pay for the Visa and schedule an interview now if there are any available
At https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-us/countries_list/iv
Choose the country and register an account with all your fiancé’s information and pay the MRV fees .
It won’t allow you to pay if there are no interview dates available so you’ll have to keep checking to see if there are any posted and choose the date you’d like . Then you will be able to pay .

I’ve just check that site. I have one of the two requirements, so I don’t think I’m able to complete that step without the immigrant visa appointment notice. Is there anyway I can send them my fiancés email?

Wait, what’s the immigration visa appointment notice from the NVC, KCC, or consular section?
The NVC sent me a email letting me know everything was being sent to JA embassy. Is that it?
Tysianna on 2020-12-07 said:
No you get the NVC email to tell you that it’s being sent to the embassy and then you get the email from the embassy with the K1 packet in it . That’s if they email you they might send the packet in the mail or both.
Once i received the NVC letter I was able to select the appointment and pay for the Ds260. I didn’t wait for the K1 packet to be sent.

Oh okay I get you. So now I’m just waiting on the K1 packet. I was really curious bc our times was so close to one another. Now I need to just need to relax and wait a bit. Thank you sooooo much tho, I really appreciate it!!

You’re welcome and good luck

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
