*09/10 -Walked in for biometrics before actual appointment date
*10/22 - USCIS status update to "Interview date scheduled"
*12/06 -Interview lasted approx. 20 mins. Very few casual questions asked (marriage date, why move to Ohio, why another state for wedding). Most of the time, the officer was compiling his checklist and inputting data on his computer. We received on-the-spot verbal approval and a print-out (Notice of Interview Result). USCIS status updated to "New card is being processed" 2 hours after interview. |

It took me one hour from appointment time to leaving the embassy.
Interview lasted for approximately 15 minutes, the rest was document submission (original copies) to embassy personnel for verification (approx. 10 mins) and waiting time.
Efficient and fast process. |

Embassy Review : |
Positive overall experience. i485 Interview lasted approx. 20 mins. Very few casual questions asked (marriage date, why move to Ohio, why another state for wedding). Nothing requested by the officer for viewing although we had brought in all the documents requested. Most of the time, the officer was compiling his checklist and inputting data on his computer. We received on-the-spot verbal approval and a print-out (Notice of Interview Result - Your case is being held for review.........). USCIS status updated to "New card is being processed" when checked 2 hours after interview. |

Jon0 on 2021-01-04 said: Verbal approval was given on the spot upon interview completion at the embassy.
Automatic notification email and SMS to inform on passport pickup by Aramex and embassy side one day after (22nd Dec) but passport was only physically delivered to my place on week after. This was only after I wrote to Aramex to follow up (using their email notification as reference) as I was not provided with any tracking number.
Our timelines are similar! Best of luck to you two!
Would you mind sharing your experience or some tips with scheduling an interview? We just received permission to schedule but ustraveldocs shows no available appointments even with permission and our payment cleared :(
Jon0 on 2021-04-01 said: I don't recall having to schedule the appointment myself. I got mine through the email from the embassy, maybe it's due to covid time arrangement.
Siggy on 2021-08-13 said: have you done with your biometric? i am from columbus FO too.
Jon0 on 2021-08-13 said: No. I’m still waiting for updates from the gov. It’s almost 90 days since I submitted my AOS.
Thanks for your message. Hope all goes well with the biometrics, looking forward to my letter arriving!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
