Well, the NVC responded to my inquiry and they are trying to send our case to the wrong Embassy!!! I entered a new inquiry and copy and pasted the response from the first inquiry! I will call them tomorrow too! How frustrating!

OMG! I just read your review. We are still in the process and in the long wait for our NOA2. I have to agree with your comment, when USCIS recently changed the processing time for K1 visa to 9-12 months. It makes me think that maybe the institution is subtly telling us to go illegal instead. I can only shake my head and roll my eyes. Also, I am anxious when we'll have our interview, hopefully, it will go smoothly. :D Congrats to you and your fiancé.

Thank you SO MUCH! I hope everything goes smoothly for you! We are still waiting to get his passport with the visa in back:( He submitted it on January 17 and they said it would take 2 weeks...................and we still sit and impatiently wait.....

I hired Hacking Law to submit a Mandamus Lawsuit for our case, we have been waiting almost 3 years! The lawsuit was received by all departments for Immigration on October 2, 2022. My Fiance received a phone call on November 2, 2022 stating his Visa was approved and that he had to redo his medical exam, then he will receive his visa.

Yes we actually received it today. They received our I-765 February 17, 2023, biometrics were April 20, 2023 then they approved it that same day.

Hello. I hope this find you well. We had such experience, placed under 221g AP after the visa was approved by the consuler officer and received an actual letter, however, what we should do at this point it's been one week since the interview we got this saddened new today. I heard writ of mandamus has to be filled after certain period of time and also it's too expensive $4000 is an imaginative number. The waiting time for this is crucial as well. What should we do? Thank you

Hello, thank you we are well and I hope you are also! Did they place you in administrative processing after the approval? If so I would file a writ of mandamus! The timeline depends on when you actually filed not just the approval and AP. We emailed the embassy weekly and I also reached out to congress and senators. I even emailed the Biden Harris Administration. We used Hacking Law and they also have a payment plan if you need it. Our lives were held up by 3 years for nothing! If you call Hacking Law they can set up a consultation and help direct you if they can take your case or not. I hope this helps and I hope you get your visa soon. I truly understand how horrible this process is!!!

It really is horrible process but we are hopeful. I got placed in AP after the congratulations letter during the interview by one week and they sent the passport back through SLS courier service.
So my question is does congressional inquiry actually do something?
We had been in this process almost 15 months when is the right time to file mandamus if we didn't get any response back or update from the embassy?
More important, we don't know why we have put on administrative processing no reasons have addressed. Thank you

Hey. Did your receive the green card? How long did it take after receiving the i-485 approval?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
