San Antonio IO was extremely nice, we were probably over prepared, but she said it was a good thing because it allowed her to make a decision on the spot. |

Approved during N-400 interview with spouse (not noted as a combo interview on N-400 notice, but took spouse anyway). No green card issued, as citizenship application was also recommended for approval. |

Very easy interview. Spouse attended. Officer took no documents other than the interview letter. Asked to see petitioner's Mexican passport. |

Spouse-based 3 year interview. Took spouse to the interview since we also had the pending I-751.
I-751 portion was basically non-existent. Officer immediately started signing into the Texas Service Center system as soon as we walked into the office. Didn't request any documentation. Original filing was ~200 pages of various statements and evidence of joint activity. Also utilized the N-400 documentation as an opportunity to re-up all of that evidence. Officer actually showed us when they hit the approve screen. Got the update on uscis.gov the next day.
Very easy going naturalization interview. Provided a very large amount of documentation, officer didn't take any documentation from us, other than that he wanted to see the petitioner's passport. Went through the normal questions, passed the civics and English/writing, then the officer gave us the option between two oath ceremonies, one in a week closer to the office, and one in two weeks but closer to our home. Took the further out option.
All in, very easy process. Glad I took my spouse even though the interview notice didn't note that it was a combo interview. |

Timeline Comments: 6Hi, my wife and I are in SA too. I googled and there is a field office and an Application Support Center. Do you know which one takes biometrics? We need to do a walk in.
From what I understand, both can do biometrics. The field office does biometrics and interviews, application support centers only do biometrics. Walk-ins are pretty hard to get right now, from what I’ve heard, but if it were me I’d go try at the ASC.
Thanks for the info. Tried the FO but they don't do bio and the ASC wouldn't do a walkin but did the bio today using our SA lease and our Portland, OR appointment letter. Now hoping for an interview soon. We filed in September about a week after you. Our I-130 is approved.
Looks like we filed for citizenship on the same day and we're both in the San Antonio FO. Let's keep each other updated if we get an interview notice.
How did your interview go? My application was approved!
It went great! Approved both the N-400 and I-751 during the interview. Got the approval update for I-751 and the official schedule notice for the oath on Friday. Congratulations! We're finally nearing the end haha.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
