Uploaded to NVC: March 19th 2020
DQ'ed: May 18, 2020
Medical Appointment: August 17, 2020 ( hubby got all shots before going to Andrews yet had a long horrible wait, was there from 10 am-4:30 pm Only paid $ 24,740 JMD no issues with having shots from another facility)
Interview Date: August 31, 2020 ( Approved ðŸ™ðŸ¾)
Visa Status after Interview: August 31, 2020- Administrative Processing
September 1st, 2020- Issued by 11:30 am
September 3rd, 2020 - Visa ready for pick up ( You will get an email once it ready) - You need a colour copy of your ID or Driver's Licenses when you go
The interview was 8:10 am, hubby arrived at 7:15 am, checked in before 7:30 am and out embassy by 8:20 am ( He called me exactly at 8:29 am to share the good news). He said the C/O was pleasant and got straight to the point with asking him the below questions, in the end, she gave him a sheet with information about Domestic Violence and told him his medical was received & he was approved and should expect the visa in 1-2 weeks. P.s Everyone wore masks and practiced social distancing.
Questions Asked:
1. Have you ever been arrested?
2. Have you ever traveled out of the country?
3. When was the last time you spoke to your wife?
4. Do you have any children together?
5. How did you meet your wife?
7. How many times did your wife visit after the wedding?
8. Does your wife send you money?
9. Who was at the wedding? ( we had a small wedding so he provided general information on how each person knew us)
10. Where does your wife stay when she visits?
Documents Asked for ( These were taken at the front where he had his fingerprint taken BEFORE He met with the C/O and at the end of the interview the C/O returned them)
-Appointment Letter
-Original Marriage License
-His Original Birth Certificate
-1 passport photo ( this was returned)
-Original Police Record( this was kept)
-Passport ( Kept for the VisaðŸ™ðŸ¾ðŸ¤—)
Documents NOT asked for: ( I had all financial documents listed uploaded to CEAC for NVC to review before the case was sent to Kingston)
- W2’s
- Tax Transcripts
- Tax Returns
- I-864, Affidavit of Support
- DS-5540 (public Charge Questionnaire)
- DS 260 conformation page
- Pictures ( sent a lot with I-130 when the case was initially filed)
- No copies of any document
A friendly word of advice, carry ALL documents and copies of each because it's better to be over-prepared than not have something and they ask for it. You never know what to expect.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
