Embassy Review : overall, the whole experience was terrible. Before the interview it was almost impossible to get any answers from them, they were really slow and not helpful at all.
But the thing that literally drove me crazy for several days happened during the interview. As you know, they don’t do K1 right now, and the only way you can get the interview is to joint the lawsuit (which I did). Everything seemed fine, the CO was nice, there weren’t that many questions, we basically talked a little bit and then they asked me to show them some of our pics. I did, the CO even complimented me, but then they said something like this: “Your documents are great, everything is fine, but since your finance’s 2019 income was low, you will need a co-sponsor”. I’m sorry, what? So, I obviously couldn’t really argue with the CO, I simply told them that I’ve been told that this is not how they should be determining CURRENT income, then I left with the 221(g) paper. After telling my fiancé about this, he wrote them an email explaining, once again, why he couldn’t earn more than 17,000 that year. He mentioned that this is clearly a mistake and he is really displeased with the way the Embassy treat people. They were silent for 3 days, and then we received a response stating that they reviewed the case again and decided to approve the visa without a co-sponsor. The attached pay stub and the employment letter, after additional review, were enough to proof sufficient income. So, yeah, the visa is approved, I’m already in the US with my fiancé, I’m really happy rn, but I can’t even describe how damaged I was after this whole embassy experience. Maybe it is the pandemic, maybe the new stuff, but I am really glad that I don’t have to deal with them anymore.
Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
