2021-05-28 , They said they sent RFE on March 10th, but my fiancé never got it. So we asked them to resend it and got it on May 28th, 2021. The RFE dateline is June 7th. I didn't realize that USCIS sent the RFE since no update at all nor mail to my fiancé, so one of VJ member told me about Lawfully apps, then I downloaded it. From Lawfully apps, I can see that USCIS sent RFE on March 10 (I downloaded Lawfully apps on 2nd /3rd week of May). Then we went to USCIS site to resend the RFE |

when our I-485 approved, I-765 changed to:
"we closed your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number xxxxx, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means."
I guess once you got your green card, you don't need EAD no more, am I right? |
Processing Estimates/Stats : |
Based on timeline data, your EAD may be adjudicated between November 22, 2021 and December 3, 2021*.
If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline. |

Embassy Review : |
I just had my interview today. it was easy and quick since only one person there on immigrant visa line. It took me 45 minutes from arrival until I got out from the embassy.
I arranged my time to arrive 30 minutes before the interview time, so when I arrived there the first security guard told me to go ahead (I didn't have to wait outside). Then before I go to the second security guard, I have to wash my hands first. When I got to the second security guard, we have to put all docs in one tray and also our bag, then the other tray is for our electronic devices (I put all electronic devices in one medium pouch). Then I got in to the building to gave my electronic devices and they were checking my bag through Xray machine.
They directed me to go to the second building and there was a security guard and he told me to wash my hands right before the door (you can use the restroom also here). I entered the building and met the next security guard. He asked what kind of visa I applied then directed me to the waiting area of immigrant visa. I probably waited there around 15 - 20 minutes (I can't check the time, they had my watch).
I was waiting there, there was one person there doing the interview. At one point, I heard the CO said "I'm sorry we can't approve your visa ..........." (I can't hear anything else after that). It made a little bit nervous to be honest.
Then the officer announced my name to go to the counter and she checked all of my docs and also asked few questions, gave information while she prepared, separated, return unneeded documents. She mentioned to not forget to bring the medical report (she said, many people forgot about this) when I move to USA and also my vaccine book that I got from the hospital when I got my vaccines (not covid vaccine) and to make sure I have the copy. She said the POE nowadays asked for this vaccine book. If they asked it, I should gave them the copy not the original. Then she gave me the orange paper to read while waiting for the interview. Oh, and she asked who is this? (pointing to I-134 of our Co-sponsor which is my fiancé's father). Asked what he does, I told her, he was retired then she asked about one document that stated he is retired, I told her I don't have that (hope this won't be a problem later).
Then around 5-10 minutes the CO called my name to go to the interview counter. I took an oath, raised my right hand, then took my biometric / finger print scan, then CO started asking questions. These were the questions CO asked :
1. Do you get the orange paper? what is it about?
2. How did you meet your fiancé?
3. What does he do?
4. Where does your fiancé live?
5. Have you been married before?
6. Has your fiancé been married before?
7. Have you lived/worked abroad?
8. Have your fiancé come to Indonesia?
9. When was the last time you and your fiancé met ?
10. When are you planning to get married ?
11. When was the last time you talk to your fiancé ?
Then the CO gave me the white paper and congratulates me and said "Enjoy West Virginia " . my Visa is approved!!

Timeline Comments: 16Hello! I hope your journey is going well. My future wife is from Indonesia also. I we were curious how you guys realized there was a RFE that you never received? We are just wondering if there's anything we can do to inquire prevent any delays. We do frequently check the "case inquiry" on the USCIS website but I'm not sure if it would notify me there or not. Thanks so much for your help.

Hi @Josetuplomero, I realized it when I downloaded and made an account on lawfully apps. It needs your receipt number from USCIS.
Thank you for your fast response. And for the tip on the lawfully app. My fiance and I hope all goes smoothly for you and your fiance.
Thank you so much! I hope all goes smoothly for both of you too
Good luck for your interview! :)
thank you so much @Purpleblue !
Hi @Nobita24. I have a quick question. Can you please advise when is the best time to fill out the DS-160 and I-134? Our case is at the NVC at the moment and we already got the case number. Thank you!
@Purpleblue, you can start to fill out DS-160 now, a lot to fill! And it can be saved, so you can start to do it now and submit it later (I suggest submit after you got P3). Check your status in CEAC, if it is in transit then it is on delivery, if it is ready it is arrived at the embassy (if i am not mistaken). For I-134, your fiancé should start to fill it too because he needs other supporting docs and that takes time
@Nobita24, thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it.
Btw, congratulations on your visa approval! 🎉🎉
thank you so much @Purpleblue ! :)
Congratulations hunðŸ™ðŸ½ðŸ™ðŸ½
Thank you so much @Kimmy H. How's your interview?
Congratulations! We are suspr happy for you and your future husband. Safe travels!
Thank you so much @Josetuplomero !!! Good luck for both of you. You two will get through this too 😊
It’s when great, check you messages
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
