Event Description

Embassy Review : Submitting new review as naturalization interview was held yesterday (09/23). Walked into building about 20 minutes before appointment. Had to go through federal building security (metal scanners, x-ray machines). Security were pretty strict about not letting anyone in more than 15 mins before their appointment time, so I had to wait for a couple of minutes before going through the scanners. Face mask was required at all times while inside the building.

Checked in with a very friendly employee at one of the front counters who got me situated and told me someone would be with me shortly. The space is well designed for COVID times i.e. all chairs are socially distanced and there are plenty of hand sanitizer stations around the office. An officer came out and got me right around my appointment time.

The offices are also prepared for COVID-19 safety, with a plexiglass screen between applicant and the officer and hand sanitizer. He asked me some general questions to first identify that I was who the application said I was, made me take an oath and then dove into the civics questions. Questions were directly from the 100questions pdf that USCIS has on their website so as long as you go through those, there should be no issues at all.
He then went through the standard list of "have you ever..." questions that were included in the naturalization application. In general, the officer was quite friendly, he joked around a bit as well. He approved my application and the status changed on the website the next morning to "Oath ceremony to be scheduled".
Harassment Level : Very Good
