Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : September 1, 2020
Embassy Review : Arrived at security at 845am for my 0900 interview. I went downstairs to wash my hands (as a friend of mine told me it was required) and then returned and advise security I was here for a visa interview. He instructed me to go was my hands again and i complied. Security is intense to get into this consulate and they clearly very concerned about COVID 19. Masks are mandatory.

Once through the initial security check point someone took my paperwork and password and moved it from my clear folder to another clear folder. I then passed through security and gave them my phone and keys. Do not take large items with you as you will be denied entry!!

After security you are escorted to level 59 where another guard asks you to sanitize your hands. You then take ticket and wait to be called.

Pretty fast, no delays. Staff are polite and efficient, but there is no small talk or anything like that.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
