Having everything electronic makes a big difference. I arrived at DFW and went through the border in about 10 minutes. All they asked was when we got married and for a contact number (gave them my wife's number) in case of issues. No secondary or anything. |

Biometrics were done at ASC Jackson, MS. I was able to walk in at about 11:30am even though my appointment was 2pm and I was walking out 15 minutes later. Simples.
I-751 was approved without interview. |

Originally had New Orleans, LA as my Local CIS office.
Interview notice email came July 1, 2024 with an initial interview date of Aug 19th, 2024.
Had to re-schedule (would not have been available to attend) and phoned USCIS same day as email (July 1, 2024).
De-scheduled notice by email July 2, 2024.
Interview re-scheduled notice came September 5, 2024.
New date was Oct 16, 2024.
Had just moved house (and State). Updated address and got an automatic
Interview De-scheduled notice September 6, 2024.
New Interview notice same day for new date of Oct 11, 2024.
Interview was at USCIS offices in Irving, TX. Swore to tell the truth and then the officer asked me 6 questions (none wrong so stopped at 6). They then asked me to read aloud a question on a tablet screen and write then write the answer he spoke out on the tablet word for word. Took about 15 - 20 minutes total. |

Embassy Review : |
Arrived early to the embassy. Sat outside the South entrance for about 20 minutes and got chatting to someone there for a K1 interview.
Appointment was at 11:00 and went through security at 10:40.
Then sat and waited till nearly 12:00 for my first interview (document review)
It was all fine and pretty straight forward. I had some additional documents to add for our AoS which I ended up needing to upload to CEAC once I got out.
Then about 12:20 I got called up the second time.
Gave my oath and was asked where'd we meet? Tinder (que surprised look :D) and When was our first date? How long had we lived together? 18 months as I moved back to the UK after we married and then she joined me on a spousal visa in December 2019 (move to Europe they said, travel the continent they said, it'll be fun they said) and then she went back to the US in May 2021 to take up her old job while I waited for my visa to be processed.
Was given a green 221 (g) and asked to upload some additional financial documents that weren't uploaded as part of our NVC DQ process (job offers and pay slips).
Now waiting for the docs to be reviewed and visa to be issued.
Aside from the terminally long waiting, all good. And I think that was due to several family related visa interviews happening before I got there. |

Timeline Comments: 1Hi! I see you have schedule for interview N400.. when did you get your interview letter?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
