Hello, Did you do an expedited request? If yes, what are the reasons to do expedited? Congrats 🎉 your process is moving quick 😀
Srilankanmafia on 2021-04-22 said:
Thank you! And, yes, I expedited for almost every reason they will allow and I had evidence to support it. Good luck with your case!

Congratulations!!! I do have a few questions "Packet 4 received"- did you mail that? Or were you able to electronically upload it? Is that the documentation you needed to gather for his medical and police records? Or was that the documentation that you needed to provide for financial support? Did the embassy provide you with the date after they received the packet?
Srilankanmafia on 2021-05-12 said:
It refers to the following email I received from the embassy: Your K1 visa appointment at the U.S. Embassy is scheduled for 14 JUN 2021 at 08:30. Due to limited appointment availability, if you cannot come to your scheduled appointment there will be significant delays in rescheduling your appointment. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT: YOU MUST BRING AN INEXTENSA ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE; AND, APPLICANTS WHO ARE OVER THE AGE OF 18 MUST BRING A CURRENT CERTIFICATE OF NO JUDICIAL RECORDS FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. As soon as possible, and prior to your appointment date, you must complete the following actions: 1. You must schedule an appointment to visit the Visa Application Center (VAC). If you have not already completed your VAC appointment, please visit the following link for detailed information about the steps to take: www.ustraveldocs.com/do. Each applicant mentioned in this letter must each make a VAC appointment and create a profile. If there are no appointments available before the date of your K1 visa interview, please wait 24-48 hours and try again. The VAC appointment is separate from the K1 visa interview and must be completed before your scheduled K1 visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo. If you have already visited the VAC and your photo and your fingerprints were taken, you should not schedule an appointment with them. 2. You must complete a medical examination. If you previously completed a medical examination but it has expired, you must go to the same examination provider to obtain a new medical examination. If you completed a medical examination more than six months ago, this one must be expired. You can select between the following two medical examination providers : * Consultorios de Visa: Open Monday - Friday, 6:30AM to 11AM, no appointments necessary. Address: Avenida Independencia 254, esq. Danae, sector de Gazcue, Santo Domingo Telephone: 809-685-1587 * Servicios Medicos Consulares: Open Monday - Friday, 7AM to 1PM, appointments not necessary but encouraged Address: Calle Bohechío 17, Sector Bella Vista, Santo Domingo Telephone: 809-857-2569 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Due to COVID-19 use of a face mask is required on the day of your appointment. *For additional information you can call toll free, from the Dominican Republic (829) 956-5144 and/or from the United States (703) 988-3410. For more information you may also visit the following webpage: www.ustraveldocs.com *For additional information via email: support-dominicanrepublic@ustraveldocs.com

Good Morning; I was wondering if NVC requested the I-134 Affidavit of support? There is so much conflicting information. Does the birth certificate need to be transcribed into english? I want to be prepared so this process goes hopefully faster. I can reached at 607-725-9689. I would love to talk to you. Thank you so much. Julie
Srilankanmafia on 2021-05-14 said:
Good morning! NVC did not request the I-134, but I did prepare it for the interview with my IRS tax transcripts for the last 3 years. Birth certificate needs to be translated for AOS, not the interview. If you require more technical help, I can message you my rates and you can see what works for your budget. Hope that helps!
blank avatar Mmd82 on 2021-05-18 said:
@srilankammafia I assume there is a place in DR that translates the birth certificate?

Julie And Jose on 2021-06-14 said:
Hey. Could you tell us what questions they asked in the interview. That may help us all
Srilankanmafia on 2021-06-15 said:
QUESTIONS FROM K-1 interview: How did you meet? When did you start talking to each other? When did she first come back to visit you? How many times has she come here? When did she get divorced? How old is her daughter? Have you met her daughter? They also asked his son 2 questions: Do know her? Do you want to go live with her? To which he say *CLAAAARO* His interview lasted about 10 min and they said the visa will be ready in about a week for pick up in San Cristobal

Hi do you mind me asking if anything had to be sent to the NVC? I thought they just entered info and passed it along. FYI I received my noa2 in the mail yesterday. They misspelled my last name..I had to submit a form to correct. I pray this isn't going to mess anything up
Srilankanmafia on 2021-06-16 said:
I think you asked me something like this already but the only thing I sent to the NVC was my expedite request with the attachments of evidence. Congrats on the NOA2, you can call the NVC in 4-6 weeks to get your case number and expedite if you chose. That SDO # will be how you track your case in CEAC. I'm sorry they misspelled your name, that's unfortunate. They go based off your WAC or SDO # mostly and you will get the chance to correct it on the DS-160 and/or at the interview. Good luck!
blank avatar Mmd82 on 2021-06-17 said:
Sorry one more question on 5/12 you gave a good detailed explanation of things that need to be done. 1) did you wait to do those steps? Or did you do those steps as soon as you confirmed receipt of nvc?
Srilankanmafia on 2021-06-17 said:
It says, "It refers to the following email I received from the embassy". It has nothing to do with the NVC. That was the email I received from the embassy with my interview date. On 5/17, was when we did medical and VAC. You cannot do medical without an interview, but if you chose, you can do your DS-160 and pay your MRV fee to do VAC before you get an interview date.
blank avatar Mps0211 on 2022-01-11 said:
Congrats on getting your EAD!! Was wondering if you expedite it?
Srilankanmafia on 2022-01-11 said:
Expedite was submitted on 11/8 via live agent on USCIS website, I followed up with the my congressman to expedite as well, we received the interview notice on 12/21 and the combo card was produced 1/10. Interview is scheduled for 1/26.
blank avatar Mmd82 on 2022-02-09 said:
@srilanksnmafia. For the missing vaccines ..were they on your original medical with a code of "d" which is routinely not available?
Srilankanmafia on 2022-02-09 said:
No, he did not complete the vaccines in DR we completed the vaccines here because they were covered under my insurance versus paying for them at the medical in DR (including Covid and this season's flu shot). The civil surgeon charged $100 to complete Part 10 ONLY of the 693. That is what we were required to submit to USCIS.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
