I had my medical exam a couple of days after the interview. So I took my passport to show at the medical. The embassy send me a request by post to send my passport to them a week later.
Rather than leaving my passport at the embassy directly after the interview, it took longer with the sending and returning of the passport. So no specific delays.

I see. Thanks for the info!

If you dont mind, can you explain the reason for applying advance parole and what are the benefits of it?
Reynye on 2021-11-10 said:
Of course :)
The AOS (green card application/ permanent resident) takes a very long time to be processed, right now it may take up to two years. Only when it's approved and you have the green card, you're allowed to leave the US and be allowed back in, and you are only allowed to work once you have the green card.
The Advance parole is filed at the same time as you file for AOS. When you have the AP approved, you can leave the country and be allowed to return. Otherwise youre stuck in the US untill the green card is approved...
The EAD is the employment authorization, only when you have this you're allowed to work.
Both AP and EAD will be approved much sooner than the AOS application (although still takes really long), so you can start have some freedom.

Wow thanks a lot for the nice explanation! I'll give them a shot later as well :)

Just send me a message if you have some questions or need help. The filing is still a whole pile after you get to the US 😅

Will do! Oh my, this immigration process is endless..

Hey Reynye! I filed my AOS, EAD, and AP about 1 month later than you did. Still, I didn't hear anything after the staus was changed as "Case was being actively reviewed by USCIS". Is there any new news so far? I think you will get things earlier than I do.

HI 100dragons! I think you should contact the call centre. I got my green card already and we have similar timeline

Congratulations! I avoided to call them, but maybe it's time to contact them. By the way, may I ask you one more question? Did you receive EAD and AP as well?
RoHus on 2022-05-13 said:
Thank you. Yes I think it is approriate to call them already since you haven't gotten your interview yet?
No the EAD and AP did not come, but anyway it does not matter cause green card is the main card that we need. EAD and AP are just replacement because most of the time green card takes very long to be issued

I see, thank you so much for your advice. I think it's time to call them.

Good luck

Hi 100dragons. I saw my status changed two weeks ago to ‘interview scheduled’ online. I got the letter with the interview date last week. People who filed a month before me got this letter around the same time, so it might get to you next month. You might be in the upcoming batch.
I had an RFE in November, so that might have delayed it a little bit.
Don’t worry! You’re still in a normal timeline and it will probably get to you in some weeks :)

Yay! Great to hear from you. I hope your interview goes well. I will cross my fingers for you.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
