Has your case made it out of the nvc and to consulate yet? Fingers crossed ðŸ™ðŸ™
Socal And Meknes on 2020-11-25 said:
No... not yet. We have not heard anything. Yes fingers and toes crossed. 😠we must keep the humor so we can continue. What is your status?
Ace20 on 2020-11-25 said:
I sent i129f they recieved august 31st. I was thinking process would be a lot quicker than marriage visa or something else but seems at this point she wont be here until 2022 and I'm really hoping that's not the case ðŸ˜ðŸ™
Socal And Meknes on 2020-11-25 said:
Ok so you are just starting the process. So you received the N01. The United States is still processing so that’s a good thing. You will get to NVC and there your docs will remain until your embassy begins processing. My understanding is that NVC will
Not release your file until the embassy is processing K1s. I received my N01 in December and in April I received my No2.
We are in an unusual predicament and there is so much that is unknown. In a precovid world, the k1 was faster. But now? Cr1s are being processed and the line of k1s just get longer and longer and there is nothing we can do but sit back and watch. With that being said, there are a few countries processing which gives gives us hope that more will begin.
You should be getting your NO2 soon since it has been 4 months... I think it takes about 4-5 months... things could be different.
I hope it’s not the case for you either knowing that Covid vaccines will be disbursed soon... I wait to see what will happen in January as well. Are you able to travel to see her and vice versa?
Ace20 on 2020-11-25 said:
I thinking processing time at USCIS is 6.5-8months now. I could go visit her probably by the summer. And I know they're not scheduling new appointments but I saw that they started issuing k1 visas there. Just a few each month since august I believe. I read another post that said the NVC told them they're sending a batch in January?
Socal And Meknes on 2020-11-26 said:
You could be right regarding the wait time. But from others I have seen, the wait time seems pretty in line with mine. Yes they started issuing k1s but 4 for October and 7 in September. Unsure of November’s stats. When Covid was rampant they processed more k1s, but I guess we will never know their reasoning. I haven’t read that post regarding sending a batch but if that’s the case, there is movement and hopefully that batch includes k1s. Our approved petition has been at the nvc since April, 2020. No lie... waiting is challenging especially when you don’t have an end date. While you wait, make sure you keep copies of everything and all your communications with your fiancé...screenshots of conversations and when you see her in the summer, keep boarding passes and receipts.

Has your case been sent to the consulate yet from NVC?
Socal And Meknes on 2021-01-18 said:
No. As far as I know, it’s still at NVC; however I hope it will be sent this month.
SydneyfMaghrib on 2021-01-18 said:
Hopefully! Please update us when it does.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-01-18 said:
Absolutely.

It’s crazy how slow USCIS processing got in 2020. My NOA1 is only 3 months after you (March 26) but my NOA2 is 7 months after you (November 13th).
Hopefully the backlog isn’t to extensive. Technically I’m only 3 months behind you though if we’re going off NOA1’s?

If I am not mistaken, the next date is based on noa2. And you’re right, it is pretty crazy. Disappointing really. It’s been difficult all this waiting and hoping that things will progress. But it is my hope through reading posts that the next batch to casa will be April and May. The last time I saw my fiancé was July 2019. It was our last trip together and then Covid. I’m just thankful for Skype.... and WhatsApp. Although we are not on the same continents, these platforms allow him/us to be present in each other’s lives.

Hi, if you haven't received a notice about the interview through email it should be any time now.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-02 said:
Thank you so much!! I checked and you’re right. Our paperwork was sent. I can’t believe there is movement.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-03 said:
Congrats! I see it's for March 11th. Let me know how it goes.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-03 said:
I will. Good luck to us all and May we soon be reunited with our best friend.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-11 said:
How did the interview go?
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-11 said:
Hi!! The interview went well and he was approved. Per his report, it lasted from 3-5 minutes and everyone before and after him was approved. Additionally, the person he went with who was poorly prepared, a pot user was also approved. His appt was at 9am but they took him at 8:30am. They took his passport, affidavit of support, my 2019 taxes, ds160 confirmation and medical. Nothing else was taken.
I think both of you will be fine. He and I have an age difference of 13 years... it was never brought up. What worked in our favor was having our daughter.
He was approved immediately and other as well.
Let me know if you’d like to know anything else.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-12 said:
Congratulations!
Will they give you back your tax forms? I provided 2019 & 2020 originals.
Thank you. On the 15th my fianceé has her medical appointment.
I'm happy that all worked out for you on this interview!
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-12 said:
Thank you so much. They kept my tax forms. I only provided 2019 because I have yet meet with my tax people for 2020. I provided three months worth of pay stubs, but they didn’t take it. They will only ask for what they want. Your fiancé will need to hand the tax returns to them along with the original affidavit of support. Make sure police clearance and all Arabic documents are translated to English and have 2 within 6 months passport photos.
All will be good for you both. Don’t worry. I don’t think they even review the i129 because their questions seem to be based on... did your fiancé visit Morocco and so you plan on having kids. Yes no questions.
Good luck!! Please keep me posted. We are near the end of this chapter.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-12 said:
Thank you for the information!
Yes, I will keep you posted and please do so also. You've given us a lot of advice.

I’m glad to help.

Hi,
on the 19th we checked the status and said "Issued".
It's the 22nd so hopefully soon she gets notified by text or email to pick up her passport.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-22 said:
We received our text within 5 days. When she gets the text and visa in hand, ask her to go get the authorization to leave. That will be challenging. We had difficulty.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-26 said:
My fiancee is now working on getting that authorization paper. How long did it take you both to get the authorization paper?
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-26 said:
He went in on Thursday morning and picked it up Friday around 2-3pm. They gave him a very hard time. He had to explain everything and the person in the front taking the documents flat out told him, you’ll get denied because k1 is not grounds for family unification. A person last week in your same situation was denied.
I don’t know what happened during that time, but he got the authorization. It seems every city is different. Some can get it easier than others.
Good luck and keep me posted. Some printed out what a k1 visa was and it helped them get it.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-28 said:
That is cruel. I guess they wanted bribe money? Terrible customer service.
I am happy he received it though.
My fiancee went yesterday and is expecting to receive it on Monday... sometime. I don't know the details since my fiancee has been busy packing, saying goodbye to friends and family.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-28 said:
Very cruel yes, but It’s ok. What matters is she will pick up her letter and depart. My fiancé is coming tomorrow. It’s been close to 600 days since we last saw each other without being in front of a screen. Soon all will be good.
Congratulations and soon all will be perfect again. I’m very happy for the both of you.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-29 said:
Thank you, my fiancée finally has the authorization paper.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-29 said:
600 days is too long. Just the first week of being apart felt depressing.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-03-29 said:
I’m happy she got it. Congratulations on being reunited soon. I just picked up my fiancé from LAX this morning. We are so excited.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-03-31 said:
I'm happy for the both of you!
So exciting... three more days to be with my fiancée!
How did it go in the pick up at the airport? I'm thinking of what to get her.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-04-08 said:
Is she here? What did you end up getting her? I’m so happy for you both!!!!
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-06-11 said:
Yes! She has been in the states for two months and a week! We are waiting for the SSN in the mail to send in the next packet. Did you send all three I-485 Petition , I-765 Petition , I-131 Petition in the same packet?
Socal And Meknes on 2021-06-11 said:
That’s wonderful news. I’m sure you both are enjoying your time together. I think getting the SSN was the easiest part. Yes, I sent all three in the same packet because from what I read, it seems that is what we had to do and provided a money order for 1225. We are waiting for his status to change on n94 so we can get him his ID to open a bank account.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-09-02 said:
Hi,
we received I-693 Deficiency Notice.
Have you received it?
Socal And Meknes on 2021-09-02 said:
No we didn’t get it. I looked it up and it said it was because the medical wasn’t submitted.
AdrianSolorzano on 2021-09-05 said:
We did submit it... interesting. Maybe a mistake from their part.
Socal And Meknes on 2021-09-06 said:
I wouldn’t doubt it. They go through many pages. I hope things get worked out. I hope you and your wife are over the moon.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
