Embassy Review : |
I got admitted in the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. The airport was completely empty. I went through the normal line and when I said I had k-1 visa, a guard was called to take me to a special room. The room was almost empty, only 2 people sitting. I didn't wait more than 1 minute and I was called. No question was made. I gave my passport and sealed envelope with medical exams. Got a stamp and left the room. All the process took 5 minutes maximum. I was very early in the morning, like 5 am, so people were a bit sleepy. |

Timeline Comments: 5Hi
Ours Noa1 for AoS, 765 is 8/21
We have not received biometrics appointment yet, Do you know process and timeline after the biometrics?
Hi! The bio appointment and the timeline after it will depend on your area. From what I check it in your profile, your local office is in Chicago. You can expect to receive your bio appointment in 30 to 60 days after the NOA1. And after that, you will have to wait for an interview appointment. The timeline changes a lot from case to case, from 9 to 38 months in Chicago, for the entire AOS according to official information: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/. If you are lucky in one year you are done!
Thanks for sharing
Yes the office is Chicago/ NBC
What is the process for the travel n work permits after the biometrics
For work and travel, after biometrics, the process is just waiting. It is supposed to take 1 month after biometrics to receive your combo card (work+travel).
Okay
We are still waiting for any updates , hoping soon
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
