Comments : The CFO counselor gave my Fiancée a very hard time and tried to talk my Fiancée out of coming to America to marry me. I thought the entire concept of CFO was to teach Philippine citizens what to do and where to go in case of an emergency overseas... ...I didn't know it was their job to deter their own adult citizens from leaving their country.

Member Reviews:

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 6, 2022
Embassy Review : The majority of questions that were asked during the interview at the U.S. Embassy Manila, Philippines had to do with the beneficiary's Birth Certificate. Then the consular asked how many times the petitioner was married, and then asked to review the copy of the petitioner's Divorce Decree. Other than that, there was not very many questions asked at all and our K1 Visa was approved with no issues by a very friendly consular.
Rating : Very Good

We have been stuck at NVC for over a year now. This is fuckin bullshit! 🤬🤬🤬😡😡 USEM Manila needs to stop the COVID games and needs to get moving faster in order to clear this Extreme Backlog.

I’m just curious why they were asking so many questions about her birth certificate? Would you mind elaborating please? My wife’s birth certificate had to be updated a few years ago because the date was wrong. It was a major hassle to get it corrected.

@Bret L Smith ...sorry for the delay, as I don't get on here much. I'm assuming by this time your wife is already in America now. But to answer your question for future couples going through this very long process who may read this post... ...my Fiancée's (now wife) birth certificate was off by one day and it was corrected (in a very lengthy process) in the Philippines🇵🇭, before she came to America🇺🇲, which took 1 full year. *****For all Fiancées and Wives going for their interview at USEM with a birth certificate issue***** .....take your old birth certificate and all of your old I.D. cards (e.g. Postal I.D. card) with your incorrect date of birth along with your new birth certificate and new I.D. cards because they asked my Fiancée for the old one's after she first presented the new ones.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
