So. The ambassy is open or closed?
What about your interview when it was that?
Why do you have to repeat your medical exam?
I am waiting for my husband's interview since last year, thats why i am asking

The US consulate at CDJ is still closed and only doing emergency appointments. His initial interview was 12/17/19 and everything was good except for his medical exam. The reason my husband had to go back for a repeat medical exam is because he admitted to PREVIOUS drug and alcohol use (as a teenager), even though he passed the drug tests for his medical exam, so the Dr. at the clinic asked him to provide 6 months of clean drug tests and a letter of recommendation that he was in a treatment program ( he attended AA meetings) and was able to repeat his medical exam on 08/25/2020 at SMF in juarez because the Dr. there recommended he return in 6 months with all proof. He was given his medical exam packet and he sent it in to the embassy along with his passport, updated police report, copies of all receipts for paid application fees and the cover letter the consulate provided us to send in documents. We were waiting to hear back when my mom passed away so I sent in a petition for an emergency appointment, he was issued his visa because they literally had all the documents there that had been delivered to the consulate 2 weeks before.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
