Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 12, 2022
Embassy Review : His interview was with a nice lady. She was looking for one of the documents, but it must’ve gotten lost between document collection and delivery to the CO. Luckily he had multiple copies of everything, so he handed her one to keep and the interview began.

Questions asked:
1. What’s your name
2. What’s your fiancé’s name?
3. What does she do?
4. What do you do?
5. How did you meet? He said he came to visit me.
6. You went to the US? He said no, Osogbo.
7. Have you two met outside the country? (He mentioned Kenya and Morocco)
8. You two went to Ghana as well? (She saw it in our pictures)

She approved him and showed him the pictures I sent with our initial filing.
Rating : Very Good

You were able to schedule an interview date before your case reached the Consulate at Lagos?
blank avatar Centric23 on 2022-08-31 said:
Yeah! I thought they'd require a case number, but they don't need it for scheduling. They just ask if you've received one. Since the date was for November, we're optimistic we'll be at NVC by then. I even scheduled it before I had a case number.

Congratulations. Can you tell us how it went.. and when you picked appointment, do you mean “early morning america time or Nigeria time”

I just added a consulate review. I picked early morning US time, but half the slots were taken by then.

Congrats on your EAD!!! Was it expedited? If not, that was really quick, and it means they are processing EAD's much faster these days.
S I A N on 2023-02-17 said:
Very fast EAD! Congrats Ade’!
blank avatar Centric23 on 2023-02-18 said:
Thank you! We didn't expedite, and it does look like they're prioritizing EADs with the green card backlog.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
