I got to the embassy at 5:30 AM, had to look for some where to park my car, I saw a guy close to the embassy who was parking people for 1k so he parked me. I waited in my car till 6 AM and then walked towards the embassy. Those guys as usual were like do you have your ds160 have you stapled your passport I almost listen to them o because Omo I no staple passport. Then I remembered this group and thought that if we needed to staple our passport someone would have mentioned it in the group na I tell the guy say abeg leave me.
Then I met with police security men asked him if needed to staple my passport he said no since I came with the passport photo I should just hold it and not mind those guys, he then told me to stand outside as they haven’t started calling people in. We waited till around 7am then an officer came to ask if there was anyone whose appointment was for 7am and we indicated that our appointment was for 6:30am, he was surprised at first because he was told earlier that there was no 6:30am appointment for that day.
Anyways they called us to go through a security check and then asked us to queue. I stood on the immigrant queue, 2 ladies came with a list and was like we seem to be more than the names on the list. In her words “some of una go go house today†for my mind I say God forbid I no go go house o my name must be on that list today, na today I go collect my visa.
So we stood on the queue I was the 3rd person I was already discussing with the guy in front that he should just peep on the list to see if his name was there. He confirmed his name and I told him to peep for mine too and he confirmed my name was there. I said thank God, my mind come down small.

Passed through all the security checks and got into the main hall. I was given no 3 that I would be called by my number when I get inside

My photo album couldn’t pass through the window so he asked me to hold on to it.He refused accepting the passport stamps and plane tickets I printed.
He asked if I or my fiancé have been married before I said No. He asked for my occupation I told him I am a lawyer. Then he asked me to go and sit down that I would be called upon later.
I sat down for a while and he called my back and handed 2 white paper to me that I should read it before the interview I said okay sir.
I sat down and was gisting with the guy who is num 1 because he also a k1 applicant. The CO in window 19 and 20 came. Window 19 was a white woman and window 20 was one cute white guy with bald head and earrings. In my mind I was just praying that the window 20 calls me. The Co in window 19 called num 7, I say thank God it seem seem was calling from buttom to top while the window 20 was calling from top to buttom, She started interviewing Num 7. Let me divert small to this lady’s interview
The Co asked her how she met her fiancée she started telling stories of how her church held a program in Ibadan and she was based in Akure. She travelled for the program and her pastor introduced her to her fiancé. The Co was like how the your pastor introduce you 2 do you stay in Ibadan or leave around. I just know say na how the co wan take deny her she just do. Later on the Co told her that she would be moving from that window to another window and she should follow her na so them 2 take go o I just dey thank God for my mind say make she carry her wahala go. The lady came back quite I guess she wasn’t approved.
Please it’s always advised in this group to keep your answers short and precised no need for stories unless you are asked to tell one.
The Co Window 20 called No 1 asked a few questions and when the guy told him that his fiancé is outside waiting he just approved him.
It then got to my turn o Window 20 called me I say thank God.

He asked if I have gone through the domestic violence paper and understood it I said yes. He handed me a white paper, with Original NPc certificate, the chat, call log and our photos that my fiancé submitted at the initial stage of filing.
That I would be contacted on how to pick up my visa. And if I have any questions I should feel free to ask. I told him thank you and have a nice day.
I want to say a big thank you to the Admin, Chocolate for encouraging me to go ahead and pick an interview date even when I was abit discouraged because of some personal issues and Nkesi for always responding to all my questions and to all the admins for their support. Thanks to Debbi and Apo for helping me fill this new Affidavit of support form.
