Hello! It sounds like you received the old email that they sent me numerous times. Three weeks ago I finally received the email from the embassy with the link to register for my fiance's interview appointment. I was told in that email that Iraqis no longer needed to be a turkish citizen or have residency to Turkey. I was able to register and would not let me pay the visa fee until the consulate opened up more appointments. It gave a message to keep checking the website and the consulate would open appointments over the next few days. After three weeks of checking daily, I logged on the website and immediately was able to pay the visa fee and it gave me the calendar for December and January of next year. I would email them back as their embassy page even removed the Turkish residency. Keep me updated.

Our cases arrived at the embassy the same week so email them and you should hear from them soon. They did tell me for fiance petitions, they are not able to schedule our appointment, we have to do it ourselves. So let them know you are ready status.

I am so glad you finally got the email! Check every si file day once you register. It will bring you to the pay visa section but will not let you pay till appointments are available. It took me three weeks and finally let me pay and schedule. Medical exam is done in Ankara. Embassy requests that you are in Turkey for 10 days before interview and in those 10 days is when my fiancé will get it done.

I only received an email with the link telling me to register for our appointment. The email stated that K1 interviews are scheduled by us. No letter. I am not sure but seems like someone gave false information. I would reply to the email you received with the link and ask them if ok to schedule. I received the same email as two other members in this group and we all have our interviews this month.

Hi Ailene! My fiancé is also from Iraq will be interviewing in Turkey. I have a few questions if you don’t mind. In Iraq where he lives they don’t have mailing services so how did your husband receive his visa? Also how long was your husband in Turkey for in addition to the ten days before the interview for the medical exam? And my last question, did your husband get a birth certificate? My fiancé doesn’t have one because they didn’t give any birth certificate, does the jensia work?

Hi Fatima! My fiance has not received his visa yet. He had his interview on January 25th of this year. He was placed in administrative processing and he had to submit the DS-5535. We are waiting for the background checks to be completed. He lives in Baghdad and when our petition was approved back in July 2020 he did receive the approval notice (NOA2) at his home address. Ai was in Ankara exactly 11 days prior to his interview. I did read recently that they no longer require the 10 days prior arrival, but ask the embassy just in case. Ali had all his paperwork that was required for Iraqis including his birth certificate and his immunization record. I can ask him about the Jensia as I am not sure what that is. You are welcome to ask me any questions that will help you.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
