Consulate Review: Indonesia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 30, 2020
Embassy Review : Fast, efficient, friendly and nice staffs.
4 people were in my group, all of us were there for IV interview.
We were waiting in the line & came to the 1st locket. The staff in the 1st locket was a sweet Indonesian lady. She pre checked our documents and passports and asked some questions. If you previously had US visitor visas, you better bring your old passports. Questions she asked like: have you lived abroad before, have you visited US before? When was the last time you visit US? I greeted her in Indonesian so we spoke Indonesian. She asked my original documents, passports and 1 pc 5x5 photo. After finished, we were asked to wait for an interview with the consular in the same room but different locket.
The consular that interviewed us is a nice US gentleman. His questions were:
1. How long have you've been married?
2. Where did you meet your spouse and how did you know him?
3. When did you married and where?
4. Have you been married before?
5. Do you have kids?
6. Have your spouse married before?
And then he asked if I brought some pictures that prove my relationship with my husband.
In the end he said congratulation your visa is approved and we will email you in a day or two to notify when you can pick up the visa.
Unfortunately until 4 working days, I haven't received any email from embassy, so my husband called them and thankfully he can spoke to the consular that interviewed me. He then sent an email so I can get my visa at the same day.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
