Embassy Review : Interview Experience
So I got to the U. S Embassy at 7:13 am. Went under the tree and sat there, of course with a lot of other interviewees.

Went inside at 9:30 am. Waited in line till it was my turn to see the Ghanaian lady who takes your particulars and pieces of evidence, then my biometric was done. I was the. Told to go and sit while I wait for my turn for the interview.

After about an hour and a half, my name was mentioned to Boot 9 where there was this slim white man. He went on to swear the oath of truth with me then below is what ensued;

- [ ] Can you confirm your name and date of birth for me, please?
- [ ] What is your fiancée’s name?
- [ ] How did you meet? After I said Facebook, he went on to ask if we were in a mutual group and I said yes.
- [ ] Tell me about how it happened.
- [ ] What work does she do?
- [ ] How long have you been together?
- [ ] When was the first time you met in person?
- [ ] How long did she stay?

He then brushes through the pictures (I’ve labelled them by when we met i.e First Meeting, Second Meeting etc.) So he flips through the first meeting and asked where we visited, then to the second trip and asked how long she stayed and I said 3 months. He asked with a shock, “3 months” I said yes then he said wow, then he asked so you both went to Dubai on your third meeting in May of this year and I said yes. And then he said she came again in September of the same year (2021), yes.

- [ ] Has she ever been married?
- [ ] How many kids does she have?
- [ ] Have you been married before?
- [ ] Do you have any kids?
- [ ] What do you do?
- [ ] Have you ever been arrested?
- [ ] What is your educational background?
- [ ] What work would you like to do when you get to the US?
- [ ] Have you done this kind of work here before?

He then paused and typed for about 2 minutes, brushed through the I-129F and brought out the Immigrants Domestic Violence pamphlet and said since everything is in line, I’m mandated to give you this, you can read through while you wait. Then he came back, brought out the paper and wrote my case number on it then he added the CDC requirements for covid when travelling to the US. Told me to contact DHL to get my passport with the issued visa.

I asked, “Are we done here?”
He said “Yes”.

NOTE: All these questioning, typing and brushing through the I-129F took no more than 7 minutes.

He didn’t check no affidavit of support, financial documents, call logs, nor chats. Just the pictures.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
