Consulate Review: Taipei, Taiwan
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 7, 2021
Embassy Review : Appointment was at 8:20 am. My wife was done and out of the building by 9:15 am. That is even with all the COVID stuff going on. They only asked 2 questions. When did we meet and when did we marry. They were supper friendly and helpful. Good experience.
Rating : Very Good

Hi guys! Did you ever make it through the NVC process?

We were not planning on getting through the i-130 process so fast. In fact we were budgeting to finish that up in December 2020 so that we could leave Taiwan in summer of 2021. So, no, we haven't made it through the NVC process yet as we need to wait on finishing this so that we can make it out of the country in the six months you have after NVC. Basically we are just stalling the process, which you can do for up to one year.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
