My husband’s case is DQ on December 28, 2022. On January 24 I requested for a expedite. Expedite was approved by embassy on January 26th and is now in transit or at Islamabad.

Salam! Only if you feel comfortable, would you be able to share the reason for expediting?
Mazlyn on 2023-01-27 said:
@H&MH the reason for my expedite was because of my depression and anxiety from being separated from husband. Its affected my job and Im on medical for that and seeing a therapist as well. I honestly didn’t think they would approve the request for that but it was worth a try

@Ujala Ateeb I sent an email to the nvc expedite because I was having major depression from being separated from husband. I have been seeing a therapist and my doctor has me taking medication and i lost my job due to anxiety and depression. I had to submit my doctor medical form and my therapist also wrote a letter about my diagnosis.

Hi, I wanted to ask how long it took for NVC to schedule your visa interview appointment after they said the case was documentarily complete. I received an email from NVC stating the application is documentarily complete and now they will schedule the interview which is first come first serve.

@Dilpazeer my husband was DQ on December 28th and we got the case expedited after it got DQ so the embassy got the case in February. The embassy schedule the interview not NVC if we didn’t get it expedited we most likely would still be waiting for NVC to give us a date. Now the embassy has to reschedule because of road closures because of some things going on in Pakistan. My husband was supposed to have his interview today.

Thanks for sharing the details. I appreciate it. That's unfortunate. I hope the embassy reschedules it to earliest appointment. If it help my brother in law was kind of in the same situation where his interview was scheduled only to find out it was going to be Eid on that day so the embassy rescheduled it to the next day. So I think embassy pushed all appointment to next day.

Hi Mazlyn! Can you please tell me about the process to expedite? Also did you have to select an interview time since you did an expedite or did Islamabad embassy give you a time for your husbands interview.
I heard if you expedite your case you are responsible to schedule an interview time.
Mazlyn on 2023-05-31 said:
@Rubban I sent an email to expedite to the nvc expedite. I had to submit a letter from my therapist and also submitted a report from my doctor about medication I am taking. The embassy selected the interview date. Maybe if you expedite for certain categories then you can pick the date, but not sure about that:

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
