hi, was your case expedited? I think Czech is on the travel ban list, right? It's good news if one of these countries has resumed routine K1 interview.

Hello, our case was not expedited! And I have been told when picked up my passport that since last week, they got new instructions and K1 are given NIE (national interest exception) after that you have 30 days to enter US. Also know about someone from Switzerland also received waiver for travel ban.

That's really exciting news! Happy for you guys! Hope it applies to all travel ban countries soon!

Hi there. Congratulations on finally being together!
I’m sorry to bother you but could you give more info on this NIE? Where did you here about it and is that why you were able to get an interview?
Thank you. All the best from Simone

Hi I don’t have much more info. Had my interview and when I came pick up my passport they said K1 are given NIE and that means I can go directly to USA even tho my country is on travel ban list.

Thank you for taking your time to message me back. I’m so happy for you!

Congrats on getting approved, it is exciting to see that in Prague the K-1 cases are moving again. We filed in August this year.

Congrats on your approval! We are trying to get transferred to Prague since our embassy in Belgrade is closed. Do you have a copy of the P3?

Hello. How was the interview in Houston. What kind of questions were asked. Congrats on the approval.

Super easy, officer just said- it’s from K1- I don’t need any supporting documents and I don’t need to talk to you husband. Name, DOB, when we got married, yes or no question from I-485- approved.

Wow. I hope ours is that easy. We got drilled in the k1 since my husband doesn't speak English and I am Caucasian. We have probably another year left for the interview. Thank you for the response. It makes me feel a little more at ease.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
