Hey congrats on approval... did they open the consulate in Australia? My case has been created since July first week but it is still at NVC since Embassy is closed in India.

Wow you got lucky to get the interview! Did you expedite the K1?

How did you manage to get your K1 from NVC?
Entheos on 2020-08-18 said:
@Shahjah88 - The consulate is still only processing expedited/emergency cases at the moment.
@smile101 - Yes got it expedited by the consulate. No questions that were not expected, what do I do, what does she do, what happened in my previous marriage, how did this relationship evolve, have we planned a wedding yet, what's my plan for health insurance
@songbyrd - I contacted my local consulate and the NVC and worked with them both to get it expedited.

Congrats on your speedy K1! We've just started our journey and appreciate how much you and other have shared about your experience. Super helpful. Question for you... what do you attribute your speedy I-129F approval to? We meticulously worked on the form, submitted all of the relevant backup documentation we could think of, and put it in a really organized package per their instructions. Hopeful this will help our application to move along nicely. We (like others here) haven't seen each other in many months due to COVID and are anxious to be together.

Did the beneficiary expedite through the consulate or did the petitioner expedite through USCIS?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
