It’s been 147 days since I’ve applied for this k1 visa and yet still no approval. What can I do?

Any updates on your case? I saw a lot of people who shared the same timeline as you getting an approved interview... Share with us your actual timeline please

I have not yet received an interview. As of right now my case is at the nvc. Haiti is telling me they’re still not accepting any any any any k1 cases.

🤦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸ðŸ¤¦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸ That’s what NVC told my fiancé . My k1 petition is also stuck at NVC since April 2020🤦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸ I don’t know what to do, it’s like an eternity nightmare

I’m following your timeline since I see you’re also stuck at the NVC level to have an idea on when the us embassy in Haiti will start requesting new k1 cases from NVC... We can keep in touch if you want in order to stay updated
Savior on 2021-03-20 said:
Sure. It is an eternity but I’ve heard they’re interviewing k1 they’re just not accepting new cases
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-20 said:
Yes there’s a lot of people on this forum who had their interview. I know one of them who just interviewed on March 18 2021. According to me they are interviewing k1 applicants whose cases had been already forwarded from NVC to the consulate before the pandemic. At least they are working on back logs but I feel like I can’t wait longer. My patience is gone😩
Savior on 2021-03-20 said:
Let’s wait until the end of March or beginning of April to see what’s gonna happen
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-20 said:
Definitely we don’t have any other choice. I promise you to let you know any updates... Hope you’ll do the same
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-20 said:
Have you heard anything about NIE (National Interest Exception)? I saw on a YouTube channel that as non immigrant (including k1) we should qualify for a NIE to get an interview. I don’t know much about that
Savior on 2021-03-20 said:
What are the requirements though?
Savior on 2021-03-20 said:
Girl yess we have to keep each other updated if not then we’ll definitely waiting and not knowing what to do

My thought is Haiti is not included in the geographic proclamation unless I’m wrong 😑
If so we should have our interview once the consulate resumes visa operations
Savior on 2021-03-20 said:
Haiti was never included in the ban they must don’t want to process any k1 visa that’s all but they were never included
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-20 said:
Hmmmm like you said let’s just wait until the end of March or beginning of April
Savior on 2021-03-31 said:
Have you heard anything?? I’ve not yet to heard anything from them
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-31 said:
Not yet... I am still in the line waiting. There’s any updates on the embassy website, I check every single day hoping for better news but nothing
Savior on 2021-03-31 said:
I think it’s because we’re checking everyday lol maybe we need to check every week but we’re so anxious
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-31 said:
Yes definitely I can’t wait to get my interview date... but NVC is not doing a danm thing 🤦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸ I understand that the embassies have to request for them to process those cases but until when🤦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸

Have you heard anything about the lawsuit that people are using to get their case to move faster
Kenda Joy on 2021-03-31 said:
Yes but I don’t know if we can file the lawsuit for Haiti because I heard there was a round for the banned countries... Is it possible to join the lawsuit for Haiti?
Savior on 2021-03-31 said:

Hi
I was just asking
Did you end Up receiving the INSTRUCTION LETTER PACKET 3 from the US EMBASSY?
thanks
If not
How did you proceed for the MEDICAL and Interview date schedule?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
