Embassy Review : |
My then Fiancé flew into Dulles in the morning. There were very few people on her flight due to COVID-19. She had virtually no waiting and met with the immigration official quickly upon landing. They asked her a few simple questions about my work, where we would live, etc., and then made a few comments about her home country. The agent was kind and considerate. My now wife said she was nervous when she went to them, but they made her very comfortable . |

Embassy Review : |
Our interview was actually in Nashville, TN., but that was not an option from the drop down.
In the interview, we were sworn in and then they went through our 485 application to verify the information with us. My wife was asked all of the yes/no questions at the end of the application about breaking the law, terrorist activities, etc.
After that the agent went over the documents to verify our relationship: bank records, marriage license, joint accounts, etc.
We were then told that if they needed anything else they would let us know, otherwise we should have the green card in a couple weeks. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
